FAITH BASED DRUG REHABILITATION VIDEO SERIES
Our jails and prisons overflow with those incarcerated due to abusing, dealing, or making illegal substances. Or because of something done while under the influence. Few rehabilitation programs for those seeking to limit future damage, discuss a spiritual component to the problems of addiction.
I have taught a faith-based program for about six years. Though hard to measure, it appears to have a success rate much higher than most national programs. It addresses core spiritual issues behind drug use, besides behaviors and symptoms. We will put those lessons on video and available for use in other settings.
Twelve lessons will be: Natural Issues Involving Addiction, Nicotine, Hallucinogens, Stimulants and Methamphetamine, Barbiturates, Cocaine and Crack Cocaine, Marijuana, Alcohol, Narcotics, Inhalants, Designer Drugs, and Spiritual Issues Involving Addiction. In each specific lesson, physical aspects, social aspects, and spiritual aspects of that particular drug of choice are discussed. The final lesson in the series is intended to bring all these ideas together in the minds of the viewer.
Each lesson will include a fill-in-the-blank test to be completed during the video. Certificates will be provided to attendees completing all twelve lessons. These can be presented to courts and probation officers. Once completed, these lessons will be made available to schools, other youth programs, correctional facilities, and churches willing to provide recovery services to communities.
As always, if you can use and enjoy resources provided at no cost, there is no obligation. But if you would consider supporting the goals of Focal Point Media, it can be done four different ways.
- Making normal everyday purchases (sometimes saving money) with companies giving a modest percentage of your purchases back to help finance FPM projects. These companies are found on our ‘affiliate companies’ page. ‘It’s My Community’ is particularly interested in very competitively quoting needed and ongoing purchases of office supplies.
- Making purchases from our ‘products for sale’ page
- Allowing Paul Spite to provide architectural services for your projects
- Donating a small amount directly by using our ‘donation’ link
